Demons in Charcoal Streets are shapeshifters. Everyone sees something different, but one thing remains constant... the eyes. Angels and others who know of magic and shamanism can also see through a demon's illusion and see a shifting mass of skin, hair, and clothing.

Muriel, an ancient demon living in Via Rosa, has one yellow and one blue. In the eons since the War in Heaven, Muriel's grown bored with Hell's rules and agenda. He's a practical joker, and although he retains the cruel streak of his youth.
